David Barbier Jr. stands as an accomplished alumnus of Syracuse University, holding the distinguished title of Posse Scholar with dual majors in Television, Radio & Film and International Relations. Renowned for his superpower in using storytelling as a bridge of vulnerability to connect people across diverse backgrounds, David is a dynamic force in the world of media and culture. In 2018, David's dedication to a global perspective led him to become a Nyah Project fellow, completing a transformative leadership fellowship in Ghana and subsequently serving as a peer facilitator in Indonesia.

Prior to college, David contributed as a production assistant to Apple Music's Emmy-award winning show, Carpool Karaoke.

Drawing inspiration from his diverse experiences, David pioneered the "Shades of ‘Cuse" Diversity Equity Inclusion talk show, shedding light on notable Syracuse alumni from marginalized backgrounds. As the host of a Syracuse lecture series, he engaged in thought-provoking conversations with influential figures such as Wilmer Valderamma and Martin Luther King III.

During the summer of 2021, David made a significant impact by shadowing former AMC Networks CEO, Josh Sapan, crafting a new and original series. In the spring of 2022, he embarked on a transformative study abroad adventure in South Korea and Spain. That summer he contributed to a documentary project with the World War II Foundation in Italy.

In the fall of 2022, David continued his pursuit of knowledge in Los Angeles, where he interned at AMC Networks' sister channel, ALLBLK. A true revolutionary, David actively seeks to be at the intersection of intentional cross-cultural dialogue and production, shaping the future through the power of storytelling. Having graduated this past May, David is now in Los Angeles working at NBC Universal.
